Botulinum Toxin Injections

The botulinum toxin, more commonly known by the commercial name Botox, is a bacterial toxin that has been purified in a laboratory. It induces temporary paralysis of the treated muscle. Botox is most widely used to treat dynamic wrinkles around the forehead and eyes. The effects of a botulinum toxin injection last four to six months. The procedure can be repeated as needed.
